Editor of MyCryptoStart. Independent researcher of cryptocurrency exchanges, focused on fees, security, KYC, and onboarding — publishes step-by-step guides in plain English for beginners.

Biography

Lucas Almeida is the editor-in-chief and lead researcher at MyCryptoStart. When he started learning about cryptocurrency on his own, he hit the same wall most beginners face today: content that either promises easy money or is so technical it scares people away. That is where the idea for a guide written in plain language — with steps you can check against the real screens of each platform — came from.

His working method is simple and rigorous: before publishing any guide, he checks the facts against the official documentation of each exchange — fee schedules, security policies, regulatory announcements, and terms of use. Whenever possible, he walks through the full flow himself (account creation, identity verification, deposits, and withdrawals) so every step is described exactly as it is.

His main research areas are trading and withdrawal fees, security and audits, identity verification (KYC), and onboarding to the major platforms — including Binance and OKX. He also tracks regulatory changes and proof-of-reserves updates that affect everyday users.

As an independent researcher, he keeps verified fact separate from opinion. The affiliate links on this site are always labeled and do not influence the conclusions of any guide — read the full disclosure to understand exactly how MyCryptoStart supports itself.
